The blog post by Mr. Penner was good to read, if only to reassure me that my instincts to use VS Code (a tool I’m used to from my work life) wouldn’t be totally without precedent in the writing world.
Digital Minimalism is kind of dragging. I just finished chapter 2, and he does a lot of repeating himself. It’s good content, and maybe my discontent is that by now I’d already been thinking through this and hearing other voices talk about the topic, but I think there’s also a bit of “I have 50 pages of content to somehow turn into a 200 page book” going on. I’m on page 80 and I’m not quite sure what he’s going to fill time with for the rest of the book.
Rhythm of War – I made a comment to Rachel earlier today that even though this is my second read of Rhythm of War, I’ve forgotten enough of this book that it feels like my first readthrough. I genuinely have no recollection of the events going on right now and I haven’t a clue what happens next.
